Ongoing thunderstorms across northern Minnesota will continue to push southward into a more favorable environment for severe weather. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards with these storms.
The main timing for these storms will be 5-7pm for central Minnesota, and 7-10 pm for the metro area, and western Minnesota. These storms will reach southern Minnesota during the midnight, overnight timeframe.

Southern Minnesota will see a marginal risk for severe weather on Sunday as our cold front stalls out across the Minnesota/Iowa border. Cooler temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s expected across the state.
Rainy Monday on tap.
Our front will likely stall out across the border on Monday and provide additional chances for rain. Soaking rains expected with this system, anywhere from 2-3 inches possible.
Monday will be our first cool day in a long stretch of days in the 70s.
