A cool front slides through the state with yet another batch of showers Wednesday night. But a sunny mix with a few clouds will return to most of Minnesota Thursday through the upcoming weekend.

Clear skies at night combined with a cooler Canadian air mass will bring the coolest temperatures in several weeks to parts of Minnesota. Overnight lows in northern Minnesota will dip into the chilly 40s the next few nights. Lows in the south will be in the comfortable 50s.

Highs Thursday will run in the 60s across most of Minnesota.
That’s about 15 degrees colder than the normal high of 83 degrees in the Twin Cities!
We’ll warm gradually by the weekend with highs in the 70s.
As we move into mid-August there are signs that temperatures will warm back into the 80s across our region. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s latest eight to14-day temperature outlook favors warmer than normal temperatures.
