Air quality alert continuing
We have an air quality alert in effect until noon on Monday. With high pressure, we will no longer be seeing any wildfire smoke being pulled into the state, but it will linger into early Monday before clearing out. Look for northern Minnesota to once again be in the orange category, with yellow for the remainder of the state.
“...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT MONDAY... * WHAT...The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued an Air Quality Alert for fine particles pollution. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to reach the Orange or Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category.”
Extended period of quiet, dry conditions
Very quiet weather conditions are expected in the forecast through the remainder of the work week. There is a slight chance for some precipitation moving into western Minnesota by Thursday.
Overall our temperatures remain in the low 80s this week. Forecast models show a gradual warm up into next weekend. We could see some upper 80s and possibly 90s returning to the forecast.
