We’ll have lingering showers and thunderstorms Tuesday morning. Wednesday will be dry before more showers develop Thursday with another cool front. The weekend looks beautiful.
Lingering showers, thunder Tuesday with more rain Thursday
An intense line of strong to severe storms continues to push through east-central Minnesota and western Wisconsin — a second round after Monday evening’s storms.
After an intensely hot Monday and stormy night, some showers and thunder linger Tuesday morning, especially for northern Minnesota into the midday. We could also see some pop-up, instability driven showers and thunder again later in the day.
Highs Tuesday will be cooler, but still warm and above normal for southern Minnesota. It’ll be cooler north.

The dew points will remain muggy Tuesday but less oppressive than yesterday, mainly in the 60s and low 70s in southern Minnesota.
Wednesday should be dry with a bit of a temperature contrast between north and south. Highs in northern Minnesota will be in the upper 60s with readings near 80 south.
More showers develop Thursday as a second cool front moves into the region. Look for scattered showers and a few thunderstorms on and off through the day.
It’ll be cooler behind that front, setting us up for what looks to be a beautiful Labor Day weekend.
