Sklyar Dahl, 21, of Minneapolis and her Team USA teammates in the mixed rowing competition finished just behind a team from Great Britain on Sunday.

Dahl, who graduated from Centennial High School, is competing in her first Paralympics. She was a basketball player before discovering rowing. Dahl trained at the Twin Cities Youth Rowing Center, and now rows for the University of Virginia.

She is one of 13 athletes with connections to Minnesota participating in this year's games.
