If you liked Sunday’s weather, we have another wonderful forecast for you! Copy, and paste yesterdays forecast of sunshine and 70s for Labor Day. High temperatures warm into the mid-70s across the state, with barely a cloud in the sky.
With high pressure influencing our weather, our nights will be clear and cool. Monday’s low temperatures fall into the upper 50s for central and southwestern Minnesota. Cooler pockets of low 50s for northeastern, and southeastern Minnesota.
Tuesday’s forecast calls for much of the same with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Winds out of the south will be increasing throughout the day, ahead of our next weather system. These southerly winds will bring 80s back to the forecast, briefly. Central through southern Minnesota will warm into the 80s with northern Minnesota staying in the upper 70s.
Late Wednesday night a cold front will be moving through the forecast area. This cold front will be lacking moisture, so at best expect scattered showers. Showers will wrap up by early Thursday afternoon.
A true shot at some fall-like weather
A cooler Canadian air mass will fill in behind another disturbance moving through Thursday night. There is a chance for some diurnal showers on Friday. High temperatures only expected in the 60s on Friday. Overnight lows by Friday night, early Saturday morning will drop into the 40s statewide. Even some pockets of upper 30s for the northland.
Forecast models are trending towards a cooler, drier weather pattern as we slide into the first weekend of September. The Climate Prediction Centers 6-10 day outlook shows the below average trend:
