The words muggy and sticky are back in the forecast. Dew points will be in the lower to mid-60s with 80-degree temperatures. A shift in the weather pattern will bring multiple chances for rain Wednesday through the weekend.
Mild, muggy forecast
Warm temperatures persist as a dominant high-pressure ridge over the New England coast channels heat up from the south. Dew points continue to run in the lower to mid-60s through Monday night.
High temperatures for Monday continue to run 10-20 degrees above average depending on location.
Our warm streak in the 80s will persist throughout the work week. Starting Wednesday, 70-degree temperatures will move into northwestern Minnesota. The Twin Cities will see a return to seasonal temperatures on Saturday.
Relief from dry conditions is coming
A cold front from the Dakotas will lower temperatures slightly and bring much-needed rain for Thursday. Our best chance right now will be Thursday into Thursday night, and Friday night into Saturday. Forecast models are showing a decent amount of rainfall after these systems have pushed through.
A refreshing change in the forecast is near. Fall weather may be just around the corner.
