Dry start to September; rain chances increase

The first half of September has been notably dry, with the Twin Cities' precipitation deficit nearing 1.4 inches below the average. Expect mostly dry conditions in the area until Wednesday. A transition to a more unsettled pattern in the mid to upper levels will bring multiple chances for rain from Wednesday through the weekend.
