We’re looking at another week of similar temperatures, with 80s continuing. Expect multiple chances for showers throughout the week, but also plenty of sunshine. More typical seasonal temperatures are expected to return by next weekend.
Another week of warm temperatures
The forecasted temperatures don’t quite match the mid-September calendar date. Highs for Sunday warm back into the lower to mid-80s.
A noticeable increase in our southerly winds will continue into the beginning of the work week. Winds will be between 10-20 mph, even stronger in western Minnesota.

Sunday’s lows drop into the 60s across the state. A few pockets of upper 50s for northwestern Minnesota.
A weak surface boundary could spark some showers and thunderstorms for northern Minnesota into Sunday night.
Dry start to September; rain chances increase
The first half of September has been notably dry, with the Twin Cities' precipitation deficit nearing 1.4 inches below the average. Expect mostly dry conditions in the area until Wednesday. A transition to a more unsettled pattern in the mid to upper levels will bring multiple chances for rain from Wednesday through the weekend.
