Sunshine and dry weather persist through the week. Temperatures will be warming up back to above-normal readings for mid to late week.
Cool start to the week, but temperatures will head back above normal
It’s a chilly start for most early Monday. Afternoon highs will warm up into the 60s in northeast Minnesota to the low to mid 70s in the southwest. Temperatures will be near normal for southern Minnesota while they’ll already be above normal north. We’ll have abundant sunshine and a south breeze. Northern Minnesota will have more scattered high clouds.
Overnight won’t be quite as cool with lows mostly in the 40s to low 50s under clear skies.
A minor disturbance, lacking moisture, could produce a few evening and overnight sprinkles in western Minnesota Monday evening and overnight. Any rainfall will likely be under a tenth of an inch.
In fact, that’ll be it for rain probably all week. The next possible disturbance isn’t until early next week. The very dry September will continue to be dry.
Tuesday will bring temperatures back above normal with some filtered sun through some mid and high clouds. Most will see highs in the 70s.
The remainder of the week will be continued sunny and dry with above-normal temperatures, mostly in the 70s. Some in southern Minnesota may even reach 80 by Thursday and Friday.
