It’s finally considerably cooler, but actually right near normal for temperatures Tuesday. It will be a bit of a roller coaster for temperatures into the weekend and continued dry.
Briefly cooler Tuesday then warmer already Wednesday
We’re in for a bit of a roller coaster of temperatures the rest of this week. Today will be cooler finally, and near normal with highs in the mid 60s south to upper 50s north.
Look for a chillier overnight, especially in northeast Minnesota where lows will be in the 40s and some upper 30s.
Already warmer air blows in Wednesday pushing temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s across southern Minnesota.
We’ll have to watch Wednesday for critical fire weather conditions again as relative humidity values will be in the 10 to 25 percent range at times.
In addition to the low relative humidities, winds will be gusty from the south ahead of a front. Any spark or fire could spread quickly in those conditions given how dry everything is.
Yet another cool front will knock temperatures down for Thursday and Friday mostly into the 60s, but still a few degrees above normal. The weekend will be a bit warmer and unfortunately the pattern remains very dry.
