It’s a chilly start to the week early Monday, but afternoon highs will be slightly above normal. Eighty-degree readings are back by Thursday and Friday in southern Minnesota. 

Another dry, warmer-than-normal week

We’re waking up to a chilly start early Monday with most readings in the 30s to low 40s, but afternoon highs will be slightly above normal.

Expect highs ranging from about 60 degrees in northeastern Minnesota to near 70 in southwestern Minnesota Monday afternoon under partly cloudy skies.

It will be another chilly overnight with lows dropping back into the 30s and 40s for most of the state under clear skies and light winds.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be a bit warmer, with 80-degree readings returning to southwestern Minnesota by Wednesday afternoon. Most of southern Minnesota will see 80 degrees by Thursday and Friday.

A cool front late Friday will drop temperatures for the weekend but bring scant chances of any rain drops. Highs Saturday will be back into mostly the 60s.

A clipper-type system will clip northeastern Minnesota potentially late Saturday into Sunday.
