Here we go again.
Another late summery weekend is here for most of Minnesota. The northwest part of Minnesota feels like proper fall with temperatures in the 40s and 50s. But most of Minnesota will feel like summer on Sunday.
Some lucky spots will pick up scattered showers Friday night into early Saturday. A weak frontal system is the focus. NOAA’s FV3 model shows the narrow shower bands between midnight and noon Saturday.
Rainfall will be very spotty, but some spots could pick up .25” to .50” locally.

Highs on Saturday will run in the 70s once again in the south with cooler temperatures north.
Record warmth possible Sunday
The record high for the Twin Cities Sunday is 83 degrees set in 1953. We have a decent shot at tying or breaking that record.
Another wave of unseasonably warm summerlike air will blow over Minnesota Sunday afternoon. Highs will reach the 80s with 70s further north.
Keep in mind our normal high and low for the Twin Cities on Sunday are 56 and 39 degrees! So temperatures Sunday will be nearly 30 degrees warmer than normal in southern Minnesota.
