A tightly wound low-pressure system will spin southward through the Red River Valley on Wednesday. It’s cold enough to produce snow. The heaviest snow will fall across the Red River Valley into northwestern Minnesota, but some occasionally vigorous snow showers will sail through the Twin Cities on Wednesday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s NAM 3 km model shows the system spinning southward with steadier snow in the northwest and snow showers in the Twin Cities and south.
