Frigid Thanksgiving week
A significant change in the upper wind flow is driving much colder air into Minnesota this week. It looks like our long, balmy languid autumn is finally giving way to wintry weather.
Thanksgiving week travel looks pretty good across Minnesota. But we’ll be feeling some very different temperatures this week. There may be a few flurries or light snow showers on Wednesday, but for most of this week we’ll enjoy some sunshine.
Highs Tuesday will run in the 20s and 30s across our region.
Thanksgiving Day looks even colder, with highs in the teens and 20s across Minnesota.
The cold looks likely to persist through Thanksgiving weekend. The outlook into early December favors colder-than-normal temperatures.
Welcome to meteorological winter on Sunday, Minnesota!
