Frigid temperatures will persist into Saturday evening, with wind chill values staying below zero. Northwest winds and clear skies will bring one more bone-chilling evening. A gradual warming trend is expected by mid-week, with highs returning to around the freezing mark.

Struggling temperatures reached the mid-teens late Saturday, with another cold evening ahead. Some of the coldest air since February has settled in for the weekend, keeping temperatures well below average.

With northwest winds continuing through the evening and early morning hours, we can expect another frigid Sunday morning, with wind chills ranging from -5 to -15 below zero.
Sunday’s temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-20s, accompanied by increasing cloud cover.
Forecast models show the possibility of light snow for western to southwestern Minnesota late Sunday evening into Monday morning, with very light accumulations expected.
A warm-up is in the forecast as temperatures gradually rise above freezing by Wednesday. Though brief, this warming trend will be followed by another cooldown in the second half of the week.
