Our active pattern continues with snow north Monday and snow south Tuesday. Another system Thursday could bring more snowfall and colder temperatures.
Active pattern with a few snow chances
Snow showers mixed with a little light freezing drizzle will move across northern Minnesota Monday. This is the first of three systems to affect the region this week.
Up to an inch or two of snow is possible Monday for northern portions of the state along with some potential light ice due to patchy freezing drizzle.
It will be another very mild day with highs in the upper 30s across southern Minnesota.

Another disturbance blows through the state Tuesday along with a cold front, bringing snow showers to a narrow swath of central and southern Minnesota.
This time central and southern Minnesota will see some snowfall accumulation:
Beyond that, a pretty vigorous clipper moves in Thursday bringing a better snow potential. This is probably the more significant system of the week to watch.
Snow showers will develop Wednesday night into the day Thursday. A wide swath of several plus inches is possible roughly along Interstate 94 from Fargo, N.D., and across Minnesota through St. Cloud and the Twin Cities area.
Behind it, colder air moves in for Friday and Saturday. Overnight lows Thursday and Friday nights will be below zero in northern Minnesota with highs mostly in the teens.
