Late December rain showers will increase Friday night into Saturday as a storm system moves from Iowa into the western Great Lakes bringing steady moisture.

Another storm system in the northern Rockies will push the current weather pattern eastward, resulting in heavier rainfall across eastern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Rain showers will taper off by midday Saturday, with lingering rain and snow showers continuing in the Arrowhead region.

After a dreary holiday week, Sunday may bring a welcome break with some sunshine starting to peek through! We’ll start to see clearing from west to east, lasting into Monday.
