Duluth couple’s wood art featured in ‘Love is Blind’ Minneapolis apartments

In February 2024, Duluth artist Anna Bailey got a call from a home stager asking her to team up on a secret Netflix TV show. Bailey, an artist who specializes in woodworking and wood mosaic art, jumped on the phone with the homestager and agreed — she would make dozens of art pieces for the mystery show.
She and her husband Nathanael run the company Bailey Builds to sell their pieces and have a brick and mortar called BB + Friends at 601 N. 65th Ave. W. in Duluth.
When Bailey found out she would be staging apartments in the Minneapolis neighborhood of the North Loop, she did some online digging to see what was filming in the Twin Cities. Then, she realized it was likely for season eight of “Love is Blind.”
Bailey and Nathanael had to sign an NDA so over the next year she kept their secret safe — their artwork would be featured in the apartments that the engaged couples move into on the Minneapolis season of “Love is Blind.”

About a week ago when the episodes dropped that revealed the engaged couples (Joey and Monica, Daniel and Taylor, Ben and Sara, David and Lauren and Devin and Virginia) and their apartments at 365 Nicollet in the North Loop, Bailey shared on social media about her brush with fame.
That night, she and Nathanael got their “Love is Blind” gold goblets and tuned in to watch, and celebrate. Her phone wouldn’t stop blowing up.
“I’ve heard over and over so many comments of like ‘Oh my gosh, I was watching Love is Blind and I saw your work and I knew exactly it was yours!’ That is such a huge compliment for me as an artist that I’ve created such a strong identity … it was one of the most rewarding things for me.”
Back when the couples were filming their vacations in Honduras in February 2024, Bailey and Nathanael loaded up the car at 5:30 a.m. in Duluth and brought down around 60 pieces of art to the Twin Cities. She was told the participants would be moving in within two days.
She knew the vision from the home stager, and as an avid “Love is Blind” fan, Bailey knew some tough conversations are often had in the apartments. She studied up and watched prior apartment reveals and brainstormed where she could put pieces in areas most likely to be filmed, like above a couch or in the kitchen.
“It was weird because we’ve been keeping this tight for over a year,” she said. “We haven’t been able to say much until it was actually on the show and now I can just be like ‘that’s my art.’”
After Bailey revealed on her social media that she was the artist, her sales shot up immediately. On Thursday evening, she and Nathanael decided to launch their “As Seen On Love is Blind” collection, where every piece that was staged on the show will be available for purchase. Prices range from $150 to $760.
While Bailey has not met any of the participants, she said Monica did follow her account on Instagram and commented how much she loved her art. She plans to gift a piece of her work to any of the participants who get married and any of the engaged women who leave single.
