We’re tracking some light rain showers and sprinkles moving southeast through Minnesota along the Interstate 94 corridor Tuesday afternoon. They may move into parts of the greater Twin Cities area through Tuesday evening.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s High-Resolution Rapid Refresh model shows the spotty light showers tracking through much of southern Minnesota through Tuesday evening. The forecast model loop below runs between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Temperatures across Minnesota Tuesday range from the 50s south to 40s and some 30s north. Sunnier and milder temperatures are pushing into Minnesota Wednesday and Thursday.
Highs Wednesday will reach the 50s south under bright sun and light winds. It will feel pretty nice.

By Thursday, 60s will favors much of southern and western Minnesota.

Another weekend slop storm?
It appears March is not done with sloppy snow for parts of Minnesota just yet. Forecast models continue to push another storm into our region this weekend, and this one brings a big temperature contrast from north to south.
Temperatures Friday could approach 80 degrees in southern Minnesota, with 70s close to the southern Twin Cities.

A mix of rain and snow is likely with this system Friday through Saturday night.

Models by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and NOAA’s Global Forecast System are laying out accumulating snow Saturday night from the Twin Cities northward.
It’s too early to see how this will pan out for snowfall coverage, but it’s worth watching this weekend. We may not be done with snow just yet.
