From plays on film and TV titles, to iconic idioms and band names, the 2025-26 Name a Snowplow winners might read like snow-inspired misspellings. 

The Minnesota Department of Transportation released the winning names to don snow plows throughout the state for each of the agency’s eight districts across Minnesota. 

See here the complete list of winners, in the order of most votes received:

It’s MnDOT’s sixth annual contest. MnDOT asks Minnesotans to “submit witty, unique and Minnesota or winter-themed snowplow names.” 

More than 18,800 people voted for this year’s finalists.
