Vice President JD Vance canceled a planned Friday visit to St. Cloud, which was billed as an announcement about the Trump administration's efforts to stop fraud.

The U.S. Attorney's Office confirmed that Vance canceled on Thursday night, but did not provide a reason for the last-minute cancellation. The office said the announcement will still take place.

Vance chairs the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, and the Minnesota news conference was announced as official business rather than a campaign event.

President Donald Trump also canceled weekend rallies set for in Iowa and Kansas, opting instead to support Republican candidates with telerallies, according to the Associated Press.
