Dakota County is located in east-central Minnesota and includes a portion of the southern Twin Cities metro area. It has three county commissioner races, one of which is contested, and three contested soil and water supervisor races. There are six school board races that are contested.
Cities including Apple Valley and Lakeville, as well as a number of townships have municipal races, some of which are uncontested. Below is candidate information for contested races. All other races can be found on Populist.
