A majority of Minneapolis City Council members now say they support dismantling the city’s police department, after the May 25 killing of George Floyd in police custody.

The four officers facing charges in Floyd’s death all worked at the city’s 3rd Precinct in south Minneapolis, the headquarters of which were burned in protests on May 28.
