Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announced Wednesday that everyone in the state will be required to wear masks or face coverings in public indoor spaces.
Minnesota follows more than half of the country's states that have issued similar mandates. Most of Minnesota’s major cities also have mandates, including Minneapolis and St. Paul, Duluth, Rochester, and St. Cloud.
MPR News host Angela Davis spoke with the state’s infectious disease director and two MPR News reporters who have been covering the pandemic.
