It’s been an eventful week in Minnesota sports, and there’s more to look forward to this weekend.

The Timberwolves debuted their season with a strong win against the Houston Rockets Wednesday, with a final score of 124-106.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds with D'Angelo Russell adding 22 points and seven assists. And Anthony Edwards didn’t disappoint, scoring 24 out of 29 points in the first half.

They’re hosting the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night.

The Wild are on a three-game winning streak. They play the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday and the Nashville Predators are slated for Sunday.

To help us unpack these wins and more, Wally Langfellow and Eric Nelson joined Minnesota Now on Friday.

Langfellow is the publisher of the Minnesota Score sports magazine and co-host of Minnesota Score Radio's “10,000 Takes.”

Nelson is a longtime Twin Cities sports broadcaster. He co-hosts "10,000 Takes" with Langfellow and is the Minnesota Vikings reporter for CBS Sports Radio’s “Eye on Football.”
