Mall of America re-opens with added security after gunfire caused a lockdown

The Mall of America reopened this morning after being evacuated and closed in the wake of gunfire Thursday afternoon.

Bloomington police say a person fired three shots following an altercation at the Nike store just after 4 o'clock. It appears no one was hit by the gunfire. Police continue to search for suspects.

Mall spokesperson Dan Jasper said last night that the building went into lockdown within a minute of the shots being fired.
