Coming up at 9 a.m. on Monday, MPR News host Angela Davis talks with Tonya Allen, the president of the McKnight Foundation.

The Minnesota-based family foundation grants approximately $100 million dollars every year and is focused on advancing climate action and racial equity — two deeply connected issues.

Join the conversation to find out what’s driving the foundation’s priorities, how Allen shifted from working on education policy to climate change and racial justice, and how she aims to center people who are farthest from power.

And we want to hear from you, too.

What questions do you have about the McKnight foundation’s work and how they decide what projects to fund? What does philanthropy mean to you? And what do you think is unique about philanthropy in Minnesota?

Call during the 9 a.m. hour at 651-227-6000 or 800-242-2828.
