Meet Todd Melby
Todd Melby is the weekend editor at MPR News.
He has reported and produced many audio documentaries, including Death’s Footprint and Fly Robin Fly: The Story of that Disco-Crazed Moment when the Gay 90s Came Out of the Closet and Embraced Its Name.
Death’s Footprint and Spirit and Body Willing, audio documentaries co-produced with Diane Richard for Chicago Public Media, won national Edward R. Murrow awards.
His project “Black Gold Boom: How Oil Changed North Dakota,” covered the Bakken oil field. He is also the author of “A Lot Can Happen in the Middle of Nowhere: The Untold Story of the Making of Fargo.”
