Arctic explorer Will Steger and his team of educators and native Inuit hunters have spent five weeks on Canada's far-north Baffin Island.
They have been visiting Inuit towns and documenting how global warming is affecting the lives of people living and working so far north.
MPR's Tom Crann reached Steger on Thursday in the town of Broten Island about 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle along Canada's Atlantic coast.
Will Steger lives in Minnesota. He is in the fifth week of his trek across Canada's Baffin Island to raise awareness of the effects of global warming on the people there.
