Nearly all of the 55 private suites in the Minnesota Twins new ballpark have been sold.
The suites average 550 sq. feet in size and range in price from $90,000 to $200,000 a piece.
Twins officials said the prices vary depending on the size and location of the suite. The cost of the suite includes the price of tickets for guests, but not the cost of food. Twins Sports Inc. President Jerry Bell said the interior themes are designed to match the stadium's exterior.
"We told the architects early on we wanted a Minnesota ballpark, not just the outside but the inside of it as well," said Bell. "I think that's reflected in these suites, as opposed to some others that would be more of a brick and steel construction. There's nothing wrong with that, they've been very successful. But that's not really Minnesota."
The suites contain wood cabinets and shelves made of Douglas fir and countertops made of Kasota stone, the same rock used on the outside of the stadium.
