Geoff Herbach's new novel, "The Miracle Letters of T. Rimberg," tells a story in a very different and potentially controversial way. Most of the story is presented as suicide notes written by one man.
Each letter is addressed to someone from his past as he reflects on his life, and tries to answer questions about his family.
Geoff Herbach is a longtime performer and writer from the Twin Cities. He says the book is the result of something that happened to him many years ago, when friends with young daughters came to stay for a weekend.
Angelic during the day, the children screamed all night because they suffered from night terrors.
Herbach spoke with MPR's Euan Kerr.
