The new generation nuclear submarine named The Terrible is seen during its inauguration on March 21, 2008 in Cherbourg, northwestern France. The vessel, the fourth built by the Direction of Naval Construction (DCNS) for the French Navy, is the first submarine entirely designed through the use of computer-assisted design (CAD), and is set to begin entering service in 2010.
