The Minnesota Twins play the Chicago White Sox tonight in Chicago in a one-game playoff to determine which team will win the division and go to the playoffs.
The game is necessary because both the White Sox and the Twins have identical records.
The White Sox pulled into a first place tie when they beat the Detroit Tigers in a make up game Monday.
The Twins watched the game from the clubhouse in the Metrodome. Infielder Nick Punto said it was difficult to sit and watch their fate being determined by another team.
"It's a little nerve-wracking you know, like all the fans out their watching the game tonight - it's a little nerve-wracking. But it's a lot more fun to celebrate when you've got your uniform on and you're in that clubhouse and you earn it. Now we have to go earn it and we're looking forward to going out there and beating Chicago," Punto said.
The winner of the playoff game will travel to Tampa Bay to play the Rays on Thursday.
