The automatic statewide recount in Minnesota's unresolved U.S. Senate race is expected to get underway next Wednesday. During the recount, some ballots are likely to be challenged by one side or the other. To get a sense of what we can expect during that process, MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Timothy Downs, who was one of Al Gore's attorneys during the 2000 Florida recount. He is the principal author of "The Recount Primer," and has been involved in more than 20 recounts during his career.
