There are only nine more shopping days until Christmas and retailers are hoping for a surge in sales as they finish this crucial period. A few weeks back, right before the Thanksgiving weekend, Morning Edition talked with three local store owners in the region about their plans and expectations in this uncertain economy.
Minnesota Public Radio's Cathy Wurzer spoke with them again today for an update.
They are Greg Danz who owns Zambroz Variety store in Fargo, Michele Cromer-Poire who's co-owner of the Red Ballon Bookshop in St. Paul, and Catherine Tharis, who owns Catherine's Imports in Duluth.
