The Minnesota Supreme Court will hear oral arguments next week on another ballot challenge.
This is the second time in a week that Republican Sen. Norm Coleman's campaign has petitioned the court to weigh in on the Senate recount.
In this latest move, the Coleman campaign asked the Court to stop the canvassing board from what it contends is double counting of some ballots. The campaign had asked the canvassing board to address its concerns on the issue, but the board declined. The Franken campaign called the lawsuit a desperate move.
On Thursday, the state Supreme Court ruled on a previous Coleman campaign challenge. A majority of the court ruled up to 1,600 absentee ballots may be included in the recount, but only after the Franken and Coleman campaigns, the Secretary of State and local elections officials agree on a way to identify them.
