Former DFL House Minority Leader Matt Entenza officially announced his candidacy for governor this morning in Worthington. He made the announcement at his old high school and was flanked by family and friends.

MPR's Mark Steil asked Entenza a few questions after the announcement. Entenza said:
He would abide by the party's endorsement "provided that all of the other major candidates abide."
He didn't rule out using his own money on the race but "my intention is to raise money."
He doesn't plan on hiring any researchers to look into the other DFL candidates but "I'll be doing lots of research on Governor Pawlenty's record."
