Final arguments have been filed in the case of a 13-year-old boy resisting chemotherapy for cancer.
Attorneys for Daniel Hauser and his family say the alternative treatment they've decided on fits better with their religious beliefs. The written arguments filed Tuesday also say Daniel's parents weighed all the options and faced an "unfair choice of two bad scenarios" for treatment.
But Brown County Attorney James Olson is asking a judge to order doctor-recommended chemotherapy treatment for the boy, who he says isn't mature enough to make his own medical decisions. If the family doesn't comply, prosecutors want Daniel put in foster care so he could then get the treatment.
A decision could come sometime this week.
