Hermantown to host Hockey Day Minnesota games

Hermantown High School will be the site of three outdoor games during the 2010 Hockey Day Minnesota, officials with the Minnesota Wild and FOX Sports North announced on Monday.
Hockey Day Minnesota is set for Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010. Coverage will also include a Minnesota Wild game from Xcel Energy Center, as well as a game between the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and St. Cloud State at the university's Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis.
A complete list of games and programming schedule will be released later this year.
This morning's announcement was made at the high school in Hermantown.
The three outdoor games that will be held on school's football field include face-offs between the Hopkins/Duluth-Marshall boys' teams; Eden Prairie/Hermantown boys' teams; and Duluth/Hermantown girls' teams.
This year's Hockey Day Minnesota event included more than 20 hours of hockey-related programming and seven games from five locations. FOX Sports North serves Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North and South Dakota.
