Damaged trees
A damaged tree sits across the road near the 3900 block of 4th Avenue in Minneapolis after severe weather swept through the area.

There are about 250 freshly fallen trees stacked near Fort Snelling, waiting to be ground into wood chips. The trees were wrenched from the ground by the tornado that blew through Minneapolis last week. MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Ralph Sievert, the director of forestry for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.
