Student fair-goers are invited to show off their hygiene skills at the State Fair this week, where some will face off against Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Sanne Magnan in a hand-washing showdown.
The MDH says the event is meant to demonstrate the importance of hand-washing in prevention of seasonal and H1N1 influenza, as well as discuss back-to-school flu issues.
The event will take place Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Germ City booth in the Horticulture/Agriculture Building.
