U.S. commerce and Small Business Administration officials on Monday will join Sen. Amy Klobuchar to discuss opportunities for Minnesota businesses to export their products.
The Minnesota Democrat is hosting the hearing to focus on opportunities for small- and medium-sized businesses. Representatives from couple of Minnesota small businesses -- including a company from Karlstad that produces rubber track systems -- will speak about the company's experience exporting to other countries.
The discussion with Klobuchar and other federal officials is aimed at how federal agencies can best help Minnesota businesses enter foreign markets and expand international sales, according to a news release from Klobuchar's office.
The Karlstad company, Mattracks Inc., will receive an award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce after the hearing recognizing it for international success through exports.
