The 54-year-old administrator of the Waseca Medical Center has died after being diagnosed with the H1N1 flu virus. However, an official cause of death has not been determined.
A news release says Mike Milbrath died Saturday night at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. He's survived by his wife and three daughters; and his parents.
Milbrath joined the medical center as the administrator in December 1995. He helped guide the organization to an affiliation with Immanuel St. Joseph's and the Mayo Health System.
A medical center spokesman had no information on whether Milbrath had any underlying medical conditions.
The Minnesota Health Department says there have been 10 confirmed deaths from complications from the virus, but other fatalities are under investigation.
