Brewers in Minnesota can now legally make their concoctions in their basements.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty signed a bill Thursday that makes it legal for beverages to be brewed in the basement of a building.
Early laws prohibited people from brewing in a basement because of concerns about the moisture and mildew often found there.
This applies to brewing everything from drink syrups and carbonated drinks to bottled beer.
