Election officials in Washington County have finalized results of a vote recount in the Mahtomedi School District.
Last month's original vote on a $45 million tax question passed by just 22 votes out of nearly 3500 cast.
This week's recount widened the margin to 24 votes.
The approval means the district will now replace one of its elementary schools and make several upgrades to its four other buildings. The higher taxes will amount to about $92 a year on a $200,000 house.
