Nurses call hospital offer a 'delay tactic'

The Minnesota Nurses Association has responded to a request from Twin Cities hospitals to pledge not to strike until the end of next month.
Earlier this week officials from Twin Cities hospitals said they'd be willing to return to bargaining talks with the union -- as long as nurses agree not to strike before July 31st.
In return, the hospitals promised not to lock out any nurses before then.
In letters to hospital officials, union representatives call that offer a "delay tactic and fraudulent attempt" to avoid bargaining in good faith.
The union says it'll go ahead with a vote scheduled for Monday on whether to hold another strike. The nurses say the hospitals should notify the union if they're willing to return to the bargaining table.
