Emmer, Dayton fundraisers get out-of-state help

Two of the candidates for governor will be getting a financial boost from out of state politicians this week.
Louisiana's Republican governor, Bobby Jindal, will hold a private fundraiser Monday night for Republican Tom Emmer. The Emmer campaign is requesting donors give at least $500 to attend the event, which will be at the Minneapolis Hilton.
Jindal is serving his first term as governor and is considered a rising national star in the Republican Party.
On Tuesday, Democrat Mark Dayton will get some fundraising help from former President Bill Clinton. The Dayton campaign is requesting a minimum donation of $1,000 to attend the event. Donors can give up to $10,000 which will be split between Dayton and the DFL Party.
Dayton's event will be held at the Graves 601 Hotel in Minneapolis.
Emmer, Dayton and the Independence Party's Tom Horner are all vying to replace Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who isn't running for a third term.
