International company 3M has accused a California businessman of selling stethoscopes that infringe on its trademark.
Seven attorneys have weighed in for 3M in the case against Pradeep Mohan of Santa Cruz, Calif., who represented himself in court. Mohan bought stethoscopes from China and resold them on the Internet.
The Maplewood company says Mohan tried to trick customers into thinking they were buying 3M stethoscopes when they shopped on various websites.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says both sides are to file post-trial material by Oct. 22. U.S. District Judge Ann Montgomery in Minneapolis is expected to rule sometime after that.
