Here are a couple of interesting "Troubled Waters" PR tidbits that appear to show how the university was trying to control VP Karen Himle's role in the story:

Can't make out exactly where in the university this came from.

But notice that next to the questions on who was behind the decision to release the film, and whether Himle would recuse herself from the process, the person wrote "avoid."

Also, Becky Beyers, communications director for the ag school, notes that U spokesman Dan Wolter has "neatly shifted the responsibility away from Karen" Himle -- but wonders whether Bell personnel will contradict him.
