St. Cloud DFL candidate Carol Lewis has conceded a close Minnesota House race to Republican King Banaian.
Lewis conceded after results from Monday's election recount gave her no path to eclipse Banaian in House District 15B.
Banaian, of St. Cloud, led Lewis by 10 votes in the initial count. The close result triggered an automatic recount under state law.
Lewis says she expects the margin to narrow to seven or eight votes after recount results are finalized. But she tells the St. Cloud Times she sees no way to overcome Banaian's 10-vote margin.
